Kansas City IMF Construction Project – Update 08.04.23

ATLANTA, GA

Beginning Monday, August 7, construction at our Kansas City Intermodal facility will shift from along Track 3 & 4 and the international stack area to the main gate where outgate lanes will be improved with concrete.

During this period, current outgate lanes will be shut down and the terminal will shift into a one-way in and one-way out traffic flow as indicated on the attached map. In addition, three temporary outgate lanes will be established at the Gate B outgate shack replacing the three under-construction normal outgate lanes. As a result, no outgate lane capacity is expected to be lost and drivers should not experience gating delays.

No shipment departure and availability delays are expected as a result of this phase of the construction.

Drivers should maintain safe speeds, be aware of construction crews and vehicles, and obey all signage and any other temporary changes in traffic patterns while visiting the facility.

We encourage drivers to take advantage of our ExpressNS+™ Mobile Application which streamlines gate and terminal processes for our drayage community. With ExpressNS+™, drivers can verify billing, submit pre-gate information, obtain parking and pickup locations, receive electronic interchange receipts, and submit bad order information.
